Structure of taper shank gear shaper cutter
The neck of the taper handle gear shaper cutter and the taper handle and tooth part respectively arranged at both ends of the neck, the taper handle is integrally connected with one end of the neck, and the tooth part is detachably connected with the other end of the neck; A connecting shaft is arranged at the other end of the neck, the connecting shaft protrudes and extends along the axial direction of the neck, the connecting shaft comprises a support section and a threaded section connected in turn, and a locking nut is arranged on the threaded section; A mounting hole is arranged along the axial line of the tooth part, and the mounting hole is matched with the support section.
The neck and tooth part of the gear shaper cutter are designed as a detachable connection. When the tooth part is worn, it is only necessary to replace the new tooth part, and the neck and conical handle can be reused, which increases the reuse rate of the neck and handle, reduces the waste of materials and reduces the use cost.
The sharpening of the straight gear shaper cutter is relatively simple, as long as the rake face is ground into a correct conical surface. The gear shaper cutter is sharpened on a tool grinder. Straight tooth gear shaper cutter is grinded with the outer cylindrical surface of the grinding wheel. During grinding, the collet shall adjust an angle equal to the rake angle of the gear shaper cutter to make the conical bus of the rake surface parallel to the bus of the outer cylindrical surface of the grinding wheel. Both the gear shaper cutter and the grinding wheel rotate around their own axis, and the grinding wheel also moves back and forth along their own axis.
The structure of taper shank gear shaper cutter includes three corners.
Main rear angle: the main rear angle of the gear shaper cutter is the included angle between the conical bus at the tooth top and the axis of the gear shaper cutter. The main rear angle is 6 degrees as specified in the standard. Rake angle: the rake angle of the gear shaper cutter is the included angle between the bus of the rake face (inner conical surface) and the front end face. The rake angle specified in the rail standard is 5 degrees.
Side back angle: the back angle of the side edge of the gear shaper cutter gradually increases from the tooth root to the tooth top. Generally speaking, the side back angle refers to the side back angle at the dividing circle of the gear shaper cutter, that is, the included angle between the involute spiral surface and the axis of the gear shaper cutter in the section perpendicular to the tangent at the involute dividing circle.
The oblique circular runout and rake angle deviation of the rake face are the inspection items after grinding the gear shaper blade. When grinding the gear shaper cutter, the deflection angle of the collet shall be carefully adjusted, the runout of the mandrel for installing the gear shaper cutter and the coordination with the gear shaper cutter shall meet the requirements, and the axis of the grinding wheel shall be adjusted in the same plane as the axis of the gear shaper cutter.
